The following poem was graciously submitted by two students from a previous resident of Harrison House Shelter.

Holy Departed

by James Bobb

If I could end world war,
keep good faith,
replenish the poor,
and keep God's words safe.

I know I would keep loved ones close,
hold feelings ajar,
seek the Holy Ghost,
and cast the Devil afar.

For this is why God created mankind,
sacrificed Jesus,
forgave us this time because he wanted to save us.

Now that I am one with the Lord,
topped with grace, fully restored,
and blessing this place.

I would like to forget the past,
stop to look ahead,
recover the vast,
and remember what God said."
