TomasMy marriage split apart due to heavy drinking. I had restraining order to stay away from my house and I was living on the streets with no job. The job ended because of alcohol. I had some money saved up but I spent it all on hotels, food and women. The rest of it I gave to my boys. I found myself in a nightmare with seemingly no way out. At the verge of my breaking point I admitted myself to the John George Psychiatric Hospital. After a 72 hour suicide watch I was sent to a short tem program at Gladmen hospital where I received very good care with my depression. It’s been six months and I have since had no drinks and the only medicine I take are doctor prescribed. It is true for most people that you are only two pay checks away from being homeless. I was fortunate enough to find shelter with living space to get my life together again. If you ever find yourself in a certain situation or issue there is always hope.
