About two years ago, I lost my children because of my bi-polar disorder I refused to take my medication. And I ended up staying with family and they were not able to deal with it either so I ended up at the shelter.

Then I got housing through shelter plus care because I started taking my medication here at the shelter. After I moved I stopped taking my medication again and I ended up on a 5050 at John George and from there I went to a halfway house and from there I came back to the shelter and my shelter plus care will start again when I stay on my medication and complete some program goals.

Then I will have housing again, thanks to the shelter. They recently diagnosed me as schizophrenic with bi-polar disorder so I am doing much better and I am getting more stable on medication.
